Every Friday from now I’ll be sharing my favorite tumblr blogs.
The first one of the list is: http://awesomepeoplehangingouttogether.tumblr.com
It’s a famous tumblr but still wanted to make it the first one on the list.
Enjoy.

Beautiful timelapse by Randy Halverson.
Here is what he said about the video:
“One of the challenges in making this video, was trying to get good storm and star shots. The opportunity doesn’t come along very often, the storm has to be moving the right speed and the lightning can overexpose the long exposures. I had several opportunities this summer to get storm and star shots. In one instance, within a minute of picking up the camera and dolly, 70mph winds hit. One storm was perfect, it came straight towards the setup, then died right before it reached it.”

Monja Gentschow is a desartist from Berlin. That’s how she has basically conceived herself: as someone in-between a designer and an artist, and close to a disaster. Throughout her studies of Visual Communication at the Kunsthochschule Weißensee though she managed to overcome the disaster and turn it into a passion for the fusion of both sides.

In this 99% talk, photographer Andrew Zuckerman argues that curiosity is an essential part of the creative’s condition. But it’s even more powerful when combined with rigorous technique.

The idea of Dear Photograph is to take a snapshot – usually one featuring one or more people and dating from the film-photography era — and holding it up against the original setting so that past and present blend into a new work of art.

Channel 4 documentary Graffiti Wars : WATCH THE DOCUMENTARY HERE: http://bit.ly/oZnPst
In London over the past 18 months the tension between the camps has played out in a battle of spray cans between freehand graffiti writer King Robbo and his nemesis, the stencil-using street artist Banksy.
The graffiti war between the two men began in the early 90s but was re-ignited by what was widely seen as an unforgiveable transgression of strict graffiti rules by Banksy.
It was an act that pulled 80s legend King Robbo out of retirement to retaliate in the place where it all began, the streets.
The film goes behind enemy lines as the war escalates, until tragic and unforeseen circumstances bring about an unexpected ceasefire.

Just discovered the work of Jimmy Chin by watching the below video on petapixel.
So After watching this great video, I checked his portfolio and who he was.
Jimmy Chin was born and raised in Mankato, Minnesota and is an accomplished climber, mountaineer, skier and photographer. He has organized and participated in numerous climbing, ski-mountaineering and exploratory expeditions to Tibet, China, Pakistan, Nepal, Tanzania, Mali, South Africa and Argentina.
Accidental Career!
In 1999 Chin was training in California’s Yosemite Valley for an expedition. After a six-day climb of El Capitan, Chin picked up the camera of his climbing partner, himself a budding photographer.
“I had woken up early with the morning sun and took a photo of Brady sleeping in his bag next to all of the gear we had strewn across the ground,” Chin said.
Out of the entire roll, the frame shot by Chin was the only one that sold.
